Privacy Policy

GoDayly ("Service") is operated by HelloFriends Co., Ltd. ("Company"). We handle personal data in accordance with applicable laws, including Korea's Personal Information Protection Act. This policy covers customers (people who book), organizers (vendors), organizer staff profiles, contact and listing-proposal submitters, and other users of the Service. It should be read together with our Terms of Use and our Cookie Policy.

1. Information we collect

Sign-up and sign-in: name, email, password (stored hashed), email OTP verification data, account role (customer, organizer, and platform roles), and the version and time of Terms and Privacy Policy acceptance.

Customer profile and bookings: phone, Kakao ID (optional), nationality, gender, date of birth, passport/ARC-related fields (optional, kept for platform administration and not shared with organizers), co-traveler details you enter, booking history and notes, cancellation and refund status for your bookings, and chosen payment method labels (bank transfer, KakaoPay, external, cash, etc.).

Organizers: business or organizer name, contact details, about text, logo, banner and listing media, categories, schedules, prices, age guidance, payment instructions (bank name, account number, account holder, KakaoPay ID, etc.), settlement and payout records (commission amounts, payout status and history, and adjustment reasons such as refunds or corrections), and subscription/plan billing-related information.

Organizer identity verification (not public): business registration number and certificate, or for individuals an ID/ARC number and photo. These are not shown on public pages or to customers.

Staff (added by organizers): name, email, phone, Kakao ID, avatar, and bio, which may appear on listings.

Contact, listing proposals, and support: name, email, phone, subject and message, attached images, and related policy details you submit.

Reviews and interactions: ratings and review text, saved places and listings, and service-use records such as listing views and clicks.

Automatically: access and security logs (standard technical and connection details generated by your use of the Service), device and browser information, cookies (such as NEXT_LOCALE for language), auth tokens in local storage, and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) usage statistics with anonymization safeguards enabled.

2. How we use information, and our basis for doing so

To identify members, manage accounts and permissions, and process booking requests, confirmations, changes, and cancellations, including prefilling forms for convenience.

To process guest checkout on GoDayly and settle payouts to organizers.

To verify organizers and review listings before they go public (to reduce scams and fake organizers).

To manage organizer platform subscriptions and plans (such as Pro), including payment instructions and account status.

To send email and in-app notifications (bookings, reviews, system messages, contact replies, event reminders, and similar).

To respond to inquiries and proposals, send notices, improve quality and security, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

We rely on different grounds depending on the purpose: performance of our contract with you (processing a booking, verifying an organizer, settling a payout), compliance with a legal obligation (tax, accounting, and dispute-related recordkeeping), our legitimate interest in keeping the Service secure and free of fraud (access and security logs, listing review), and your consent where we ask for it separately (for example optional marketing email or non-essential analytics cookies).

3. Retention and deletion

When you request account deletion, or otherwise withdraw, we delete personal data without undue delay except where longer retention is required by law. You may request deletion via the contact details below.

Transaction, dispute, and anti-fraud records, and organizer verification documents, are kept only as long as needed for verification, fraud prevention, and legal compliance, then deleted.

Contact and support messages may be retained as needed to respond and handle disputes.

4. Sharing and public display

When a customer requests a booking, information needed to fulfil it (such as name, contact details, guest count, and optionally Kakao ID, nationality, gender, date of birth, and co-traveler details) is shared with the relevant organizer.

Bank details an organizer registers are used only to settle payouts and are not shown to customers.

Business registration and individual ID documents are reviewed only by the Company and never shown on public organizer pages or to ordinary customers.

Staff profiles may appear on listings or organizer pages as configured by the organizer.

We may disclose information when required by law or valid legal process.

5. Processors and cross-border processing

We use service providers for hosting and file storage (for example Amazon S3), transactional email (for example Amazon SES), and web analytics (Google Analytics 4).

Personal data may be processed on those providers' servers, including outside Korea. We take protective measures required under applicable law.

6. Payments and personal data

Experience payments: guests pay GoDayly at checkout (for example through Toss Payments). The Company does not store customers' full card numbers. Payouts are settled to the organizer's registered bank account.

Organizer platform fees: when organizers purchase paid plans (such as Pro), they may transfer funds to the Company's designated account (for example KB Kookmin Bank, account holder HelloFriends Co., Ltd.). We process only what is needed to confirm payment and manage the subscription.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of essential cookies (such as NEXT_LOCALE for language and a secure session cookie that keeps you signed in) and, in production, Google Analytics 4 with anonymization and other privacy safeguards enabled.

For the full list of cookies and similar technologies we use, what each one does, and how to control them, see our Cookie Policy.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser; some features may not work correctly if you do.

8. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or withdrawal of consent by contacting us using the details below.

Deletion or restriction may be limited where the law requires retention or where data is needed for an active booking or dispute.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them without a legal guardian's consent.

If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 14 without the required consent, we will delete it.

Where a minor over 14 uses the Service with guardian involvement (for example when booking), the customer and organizer remain responsible for complying with applicable guardian-consent requirements.

10. International users

The Service is operated from, and primarily governed by, the laws of the Republic of Korea, including the Personal Information Protection Act.

If you are visiting Korea or otherwise subject to another country's or region's privacy law, that law may give you additional rights. Contact us using the details below and we will respond to your request under the law that applies to you.

11. Data breach notification

If a breach involving your personal data occurs, we will investigate, take steps to contain and remediate it, and notify affected users and, where required, the relevant authorities, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable law.

12. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures, including password hashing, access controls, HTTPS in transit, and logging/monitoring.

Organizer verification documents and similar sensitive materials are kept out of public display and used only for review purposes.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on the Service with an effective date. Material changes may also be notified by email or in-product notice.
